THE NUMBER ONE STRATEGY ON HOW TO REACH YOUR GOAL QUICKER

Writer: dollyoksmandollyoksman

BUT, DO NOT DO IT ALONE. "Two heads are better than one."

This blog will show you how to achieve your dreams and aspiration in life quicker.

I saw on Facebook that my friend, Barbara, the Founder of Barbara's Bi*chin' Workouts Facebook Group, is teaching a spin class. I did not know what a spin class is, so I asked Mr. Google.

Mr. Google said that it is indoor cycling.

So, I decided to ask Barbara if I can have a virtual spin class with her. I don't have a stationary bike, but I have an elliptical machine that I can spin.

I joined her class.

I was so astonished by what I was able to do in her class. I was able to do the workout for almost an hour! (Pat on my back, great job, Dolly!)

It was so exciting because I have never done working out using my elliptical machine for that long. I can do it in 10-20 minutes and according to the speed that I want, and I am comfortable.

How did I make it that long?

Barbara is a great teacher. She was guiding us on what to do, when to slow down, when to push, stretch, etc. and encourage us along the way.

My Take-away from my Spinning Class

I realized that I can go beyond my limits and even double my achievement if I have a guide on the right move, when to push and when to slow down.

The experience helps me see the importance of having mentors, coaches, and people who can guide and encourage me to go beyond my limits.

So, If you want to Reach your Goals Faster, DO NOT DO IT ALONE!

In my journey through life, I am blessed because I am surrounded by mentors. They are my coaches. When I was battling with an intense feeling of emptiness more than two decades ago. I reached out to people who can help me. I reached out to nuns, priests, and lay missionaries to understand what was going on with me. People that I trust.

I believe that I continue to struggle until now if I did not seek for help.

Now, I have new battles, a new level of struggles-- starting a business.

In the beginning, I had no clue what I am doing. But with the help of coaches, reading, and listening to the experiences of other people who are starting their business or have been in business, I began to learn something new, slow but continuously.

My greatest struggle is pushing beyond my Limit, my COMFORT ZONES.

But looking beyond my comfort zones are my dreams, goals, and aspirations in life that I want to have.

I need to make a DECISION to go beyond my comfort zone.

Hence, I decided to reach out to coaches and be part of the like-minded community.

Human as we are, we have limiting beliefs. Often, we talk ourselves out of the goals, dreams, and aspirations that we want to achieve. We think that everything is hard, we are not worthy of it, or we are not good enough.

If you continue to do things ALONE, you may not be able to get to the other side. Do it with people who see your vision, people who are already living your dream, and people who believe in achieving your goals.

Above all, Ask God or the Higher Being to guide you to the people or the right people will be led to you to help you become the best version of yourself

In John 5:1-9

..Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

7 "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

8 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

Here is my reflection on this passage,

We have goals; we have dreams. We pray about it. Maybe we tell other people about our plans. But we stayed on our mat, our comfort zone. We don't act on our desires like the lame man who had a lot of excuses.

Our limiting beliefs sabotage us from achieving what we want in life.

There are times we cannot see our limiting beliefs. We cannot see that our excuses are expressions of our limiting beliefs. Sometimes we need other people to point it to us and show us how to change them.

There is so much in store for you, my friends. Listen, Stand-Up, Pick up Your Mat and Walk. Go follow your dreams and achieve your goals.

BUT, DO NOT DO IT ALONE. "Two heads are better than one."

Reflection:

What is God calling you to do?

What is in your heart that you really want to do?

What are your excuses for not doing it?
