I recently came across an interview with a well-known celebrity. When asked about her most expensive purchase, she responded with a simple yet profound answer, "inner peace." This statement resonated with me, as inner peace is one of the greatest treasures we can have in our lives.

May is a special month for me—not just because it's my birthday month but also because it's flower month, which is when many flowers bloom. May serves as a reminder for me to reflect on my life if I bloom where I'm planted. This year is even more special for me because I will celebrate my 50th birthday! It's a milestone that has made me reflect on my life, journey, and lessons learned. My niece often told me I was half a century old and called me an old lady. These comments made me laugh. Yes, I'm older, but I feel so blessed because of this opportunity and privilege to live these years

Reflecting on the first 50 years of my life, I saw challenges and victories intertwined. I realized that the greatest joy I felt was when I emerged from deep struggles and sorrow.

Many of us carry heavy loads—stress, responsibilities, inner doubts, and silent battles. In my journey, there have been countless moments when I felt like I couldn’t make it and wasn’t sure how to keep going. In the darkest nights of my soul, FAITH gives me hope, and I honestly can say that my faith keeps me going and allows me to experience inner peace.

Faith as a Foundation for Inner Peace

My mom taught me to have faith and trust God no matter what happens. Whether faith in God or something bigger than ourselves, this inner trust brings incredible calm; it reminds us that we are not alone and deeply loved and supported, even when things are hard, because the truth is that sometimes faith doesn't remove the storms in life. However, FAITH can help you weather the storm and give you a sense of calm and confidence that someone HIGHER than you is taking control.

When you nurture your faith, you allow yourself to breathe again, release the pressure, and remember that you’re human and that it's okay to make mistakes and rest.

As I grow in my Faith in God, I've learned that loving ourselves is what God desires for us; contrary to the message I constantly received from my elders, I need to think of other people's needs before my own. Perhaps you're struggling right now because of the belief that taking care of yourself and loving yourself is selfish, or you try to give everything you have to others and feel what you offer is never enough or not good enough.  I urge you to see yourself through the eyes of the one who created you. God looks at you with grace, not perfection. Please STOP trying to earn your worth and embrace your unique, beautiful, and sometimes messy self.

Loving yourself is not selfish. It's sacred.

Celebrating Life, Sharing Light

As I celebrate another year of life and another chapter this May, I'm not just blowing out candles —I'm lighting new ones.

I've launched and continue to grow my YouTube channel as a space to share hope, healing, and heart-led guidance. It's a platform where I can connect with you, share my experiences, and learn from yours. From practical tips for stress relief to reflections on faith, joy, and personal growth—I'm creating content with YOU in mind.

If you've been blessed, inspired, or even gently nudged toward peace through anything I've shared, I'd love for you to be part of my YouTube family. Your presence there means more than you know.

🌷 A Birthday Wish

This year, my birthday wish is simple:

That you would be kinder to yourself.

That you would find rest in your faith.

You would believe that you are worthy of love and peace.

Thank you for being part of my community and in my life. Whether you've been following my journey for a while or just stumbled upon it, I'm so grateful we get to walk this path together.

With all my heart,

Dolly Tampos Oksman 🩷

A smiling beautiful woman.
